Bang! Bang! Draw!
Our long time collaborator and friend, artist Heisuke "PCP" Kitazawa and Marc Bianchi of Her Space Holiday joined Poketo for an amazing night of music and art on Friday, April 24 2009. It was a rare occasion to get both artists here to present their joint works. PCP and Her Space Holiday, or "brothers from another mother" as PCP affectionately calls themselves, delighted the crowd in their discussion moderated by Cornelia Von Hasselback.
Marc Bianchi of Her Space Holiday tickled our ears in acoustic sets from his Sleepy Tigers EP and The Telescope album. The night was alive and in good spirits as the crowd packed the studio, with more folks waiting outside to catch a glimpse of the artists. PCP enchanted the crowd with original pieces of his collaborative work with Marc and Poketo.
The magical night just got better as Goh Nakamura, took the stage and performed some of his songs. If you want to know how to quiet a bustling crowd in seconds flat, the answer is Goh. Those who got to stay a bit longer at the show were able to experience the quiet but powerful sensibility of Goh's music as well as another encore set from the great Marc Bianchi. The night was just pure awesome, and one of the best shows at Poketo yet.
