Artist Bio
Overture is Jason Malcolm Brown and Aya Yamasaki Brown. A focal point where their creative intertwined, Aya and Jason created an opera house where all the peoples of their worlds could perform and be entertained. As the opening to an opera, Overture stands to introduce and describe these worlds through their work. Overture has worked with Cartoon Network Japan, Fatcat Records, Múm, KiraKira, Plan B Magazine, Beams, Graniph and more.
Artist Inspiration
The unicycle act is a chaotic and dangerous performance that carries an air of ease and carefree merriment when well rehearsed. It embodies the ideal of all busy hectic, balancing the impossible with relaxation and enjoyment. Unicycle was created over the new years holiday while trying to cram family, friends and business meetings into a two-week trip to Japan.
About the Print
Printed with archival-pigmented ink on 100% cotton rag, acid and lignin free Bradford Rag paper. The print has been sprayed with a print shield to enhance resistance to damaging UV light, air pollutants, moisture, and fingerprints. Print Size is 8”x 10” including the 0.5” border for framing.
