Lisa Hanawalt lives in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Palo Alto, CA. She does illustrations and funnies for publications like McSweeney's, Vice Magazine, Chronicle Books, the NY Times and Glamour. She writes and draws an award-winning comic book series called “I Want You,” and has a low-brow monthly comic strip in The Believer. She dreams of breaking into the world of upscale department store window dressing.
