Rebecca Davies

A recent graduate from the Glasgow School of Art, Rebecca lives and works in Glasgow because “Glasgow is electric, when it’s not raining.” An illustrator and video artist, Rebecca have exhibited in galleries, tenement closes and recently in a hotel bedroom for Glasgow’s “Get a Room” alongside Douglas Gordon and Jim Lambie. She is currently involved in the traveling “deershead” gallery and is part of the Cosby family-like collective that is Hitherto. Rebecca can’t see herself leaving Glasgow for a long while for many reasons, but mainly because the shop just round the corner from her flat sells the most extensive range of Bombay mix she has ever seen.

Glasgow Series Artist

Poketo, in collaboration with Hitherto Gallery, launched the “Glasgow Artist Series” to celebrate its participation in the Glasgow International Festival, one of Europe’s premier biennial art events, that celebrates Glasgow’s acclaimed visual arts. Emily was part of the “Glasgow International Festival Artist Series.”
