    Poketo is looking for a full-time graphic designer/photographer who enjoys a fast-paced and creative environment. As a core member of the team she/he will play an active role in developing innovative design concepts and photographic images and executing brand-friendly solutions for web, products, and print. The candidate’s portfolio should demonstrate a keen aesthetic with strong skills in typography, color, layout, photography with a solid knowledge of intuitive user experiences. Like the rest of the team, she or he should love art, design, fashion, the internet, and social media. You must reside in the Los Angeles area as this is an in-house position.

    The Job:

  • Develop creative, visual product imagery combining beautiful product photography and typography for web and print projects.
  • Deliver high-quality photography and graphic design under tight deadlines.
  • Lead efforts to optimize site architecture and user experiences, creating wireframes and specifications as needed.
  • Maintain integrity of brand, including identity, color palette and typography, when extending brand across a broad range of design solutions, including packaging and many different products.
  • Assist and lead new product creations and design.

  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in photography/graphic design and 3-4 experience in the field.
  • Expert knowledge in graphic applications including Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with photo editing and lighting for product photography.
  • Has an online portfolio that demonstrates strong, versatile product photography and design experience within a creative team, understanding of grid systems, composition, and color with a keen eye for typography, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Is flexible and able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has the experience and ability to produce and coordinate off site photo shoots with products and models.
  • Is curious! And continually keeps up-to-date on interactive and design trends, as well as technical skills.
  • Is self motivated and can work both independently and in a team environment.

    Poketo is looking for a few experienced part/full time retail associates/manager for their new Downtown Los Angeles retail location, slated to open in Summer of 2012. She or he should love art, design, fashion, the internet, and social media and must reside in the Los Angeles area.

    The Job:

  • Welcome customers into the store and create an upbeat and positive store environment.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and assist in creating product descriptions that can be used for point of purchase displays.
  • Replenish products, and keep the store looking clean and fresh by creating and changing visual merchandising while in line with brand identity.
  • Ensure accuracy of the inventory and POS systems.
  • Maintain a safe and clean retail store work environment and ensure proper working of all fixtures, systems, and equipment.
  • Work closely with all departments at Poketo, including wholesale/online distribution channels and press/marketing.

The candidate should be extremely familiar with Poketo, art, design, products, fashion, pop culture, and also be knowledgeable in social media, online culture, shopping, and blogs. You must reside in the Los Angeles area as this is an in-house part-time to potentially full-time position.

    The Job:

  • Write and edit clear, concise, and compelling copy and content.
  • Develop thorough style guides and copy edit all of Poketo’s written materials including product descriptions, blogs, press releases, and newsletters, to assure error-free copy.
  • Write short to medium form original, blog content.
  • Write smart and catchy marketing copy.
  • Maintain and establish press contacts and disseminate information regarding new and upcoming Poketo projects and products.

    The Multimedia intern will produce short pieces in a fun, lighthearted style for Poketo’s culture, brand, products, and events. The graphic design intern will select appropriate designs for all Poketo product platforms, design marketing collateral for Poketo’s brand and products, and research potential artist collaborations and new product ideas.

    Poketo works closely with their interns making them a valuable part of the team. Interns will work on real projects and gain important hands-on experience. No coffee making or running errands!     Multimedia candidates should meet the following minimum qualifications:
