Little Chicken Eggs - delicate HK street waffle

Hong Kong street waffle

have seen this around for a while and i assumed they were filled with red bean paste, like quite a few other HK confectionaries.

BUT I WAS SOOOO WRONG!

they’re hollow and when made right, very delicate (tried to hold one in my hand to shoot & it fell apart quite quickly) and are amazing!

def my number one fave HK street snack, the Little Chicken Eggs (Kai Tan Chai = Chicken Egg Children) can be seen in all the touristy spots but my fave is made on the sidewalk in Sai Ying Pun.

found a video of a stall making them
