We wish it could be summer all the time. It’s a lovely season filled with lazy days and enough time for dreaming. In our final bid to keep summer alive, we’re releasing four new wallets each with gorgeous color palettes that we’d gladly color our summers with.

We first gave you guys a sneak peek at Comic Con, but now we’re ready for a full unveiling. This week, we’re excited to share with you guys our new You’re a riot, grrrl! series with artwork by some bad-ass female comic book artists.

Each one of these ladies has such a strong, irreverent and in-your-face style that we had trouble capturing all of that in a few words for a series name. (Our list of series names ran up to more than thirty possibilities!) We love their strong and uniquely feminine point of views that we were literally at a loss for words.

With such a strong line-up, only the 90s counterculture Riot Grrrl movement could be enough to capture all the crazy amazing artwork by these no holds barred women, which led us (finally!) to the You’re a riot, grrl!

Without further ado, here are Poketo’s newest artists and their awesome wallet designs:

In the coming days, we’ll be going interviews with Esther Pearl Watson (whom you may remember worked with us on our 826LA collaboration), Lisa Hanawalt (who was also at Comic Con this year along with Poketo) and Hellen Jo, so keep an eye out for it!

Last month, we embarked on our first-ever open call for a Poketo wallet design in collaboration with Booooooom. Today, we’re proud to announce our five amazing finalists.

We had such a hard time choosing between all the great submissions that it took us a few back and forths between Booooooom and Poketo before we could trim it down to the final five.
