This is going to be an insane show. Our friend and artist, Tim Biskup, has a new body of work combining both painting and sculpture opening October 14th at This Los Angeles. You won’t find the polished, vinyl figures you may have seen in Tim’s past, but, roughly hewn, crudely painted figures that Tim sculpted himself. From the figures, came the paintings. The paintings of course are exquisite, perfect and clearly exhibit Tim’s mastery.

Tim sent us some images over from the show, a couple of these during the installation. You’ll see the images of the sculptures and paintings I’m talking about. What you don’t see here is the scale of the originals, these are larger scale paintings and some of the sculptures are over 4 feet tall!

The show open This Friday, October 14th at THIS Los Angeles in Eagle Rock. It’s going to be a madhouse, not to be missed.

Whoa, day one was a whirlwind. Landed bright and early and we hit the ground running. Love getting out of LA for a bit and seeing new things. Places to go, so many people to see… this is just day one, four more to go!

This is going to be amazing! Tim Biskup and daughter, Tigerlily are having an art show at Portland’s famed, Grass Hut Gallery tonight, July 1st. We were over at Tim’s home and were super stoked by an impromptu preview of the drawings from Tigerlily. Her drawings are smart, funny, and really, really good. Her captions on the drawings are some of the best, a comic book in the making? Luckily, we are in Portland for this rad father/daughter event. If you are in Portland, see you tonight! Details below.
