Out and About in Poketo World… past present future

A little about the future first…. This Friday April 29th through May 8th, we are part of OK Store x Tortoise Pop Up Shop in Venice. They have curated a great mix of their favorite brands, all to benefit Japan Relief. We have tons of stationery, plates and bags for the shop… 100% of the shop goes to non profit, Kesen’numa Aid Project. The shop is located at Tortoise, 1342 1/2 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA.

A little bit of the present… this is what I’m dreaming of now… flying into the ocean and listening to Madi Diaz. Flying above and into the waves is a bit of what her music sounds like to me.

And from the past and into the future…. Did you pick up the Neko Case Record Store Day tee this year? Did you notice it was on your favorite Poketo tee? We are honored to have made that shirt happen for our biggest fan.

Still on exhibit, a huge art show and shop, To Japan From LA With Love… at Space15Twenty. Art from artists like Geoff McFetridge, Steven Harrington, Chris Johansen, Chris Bettig, Saelee Oh, and hundreds more. We have tons of Poketo good there, 100% of everything to benefit Japan.

Thanks for the sun and fun

A very warm, sunny LA weekend, even my records were starting to melt! That didn’t stop us though. Thank you for sharing the LA sun, drinks, ping pong and tunes over the weekend for the farewell gathering of “Los Angeles, I’m Yours”. It took nearly a week to install the show and a back breaking few hours to deinstall. All the art, wooden crates, and tents miraculously fit in a truck! It was hard to believe, but, we somehow layered everything in there. As always, thank you for coming out to the show…. from the incredible opening reception to the epic night with Portugal. The Man, the show was a huge success and LA really shined. More goodness from us to come, stay tuned!

Artists Leah Chun and Scott Barry catch up.

Artists/graphic novelists, John Pham and Derek Kirk Kim have a little ping pong fun.

Danny was the first to arrive and the last to leave. Clearly, he dominated.
