Leah Chun’s Exquisite World

Poketo for Target artist Leah Chun does a little bit of everything, from animation, paintings, and drawings. If you’ve been following Poketo, you know you’ve seen Leah’s designs for years now. We are always blown away by her cute characters and her fantastic imagination. We were delighted to receive little painting for her interview. Here we go!

Breakfast Brunch or Lunch

Not much difference nowadays, we love places that serve all day breakfast foods. We love it even more when we have artists flying half way around the world for a little chill out time. Eveline Tarunadjaja is from lovely Melbourne, but, happy to escape the winter in Australia for LA’s year round summer.

Leah Chun here, one of the artists that is part of our Target Collection, she’s a bit on the shy side.

Thanks for the sun and fun

A very warm, sunny LA weekend, even my records were starting to melt! That didn’t stop us though. Thank you for sharing the LA sun, drinks, ping pong and tunes over the weekend for the farewell gathering of “Los Angeles, I’m Yours”. It took nearly a week to install the show and a back breaking few hours to deinstall. All the art, wooden crates, and tents miraculously fit in a truck! It was hard to believe, but, we somehow layered everything in there. As always, thank you for coming out to the show…. from the incredible opening reception to the epic night with Portugal. The Man, the show was a huge success and LA really shined. More goodness from us to come, stay tuned!

Artists Leah Chun and Scott Barry catch up.

Artists/graphic novelists, John Pham and Derek Kirk Kim have a little ping pong fun.

Danny was the first to arrive and the last to leave. Clearly, he dominated.

Eric Trine, trying to figure out this puzzle.

The Art of The Hunt

Painted glass jug, by Tom Vadakan

You’ve been hearing and seeing a lot about the show we have at Space15Twenty. I’m happy to announce that we have extended Poketo & Kitsune Noir‘s “Los Angeles, I’m Yours” an extra week, the show will close officially on Saturday, May 22nd. We have been showing pics of the space, the art in all the little nooks and crannies, if you have not seen it, here you go! But, I also want to show you some of the pieces, in it’s pure form. You can see the artists took time, love, and care in making these once insignificant objects into valuable art. These are one of a kind, go and visit the show before they disappear.
