[Poll] Are you pro-circle or square?

We have a small debate in the studio going, just because of our new mousepads. (Btw, have you checked them out lately?)

We want to know, circle or square?

Let us know what you think!

Get stuck (in a good way)

If you have little kids around the house, you know they’re drawn to stickers like the proverbial moth to a flame. It’s not just kids either, even if your age is past the single digits, there is something about sticky things that are just so entertaining!

Is it because of that great gooey adhesive that gets stuck on your fingers? Or is it the challenge of attaching something sticky to a straight surface? It might be a little of both. It’s a great feeling when you get a sticker or tape (!) on correctly, without those pesky bubbles.

We got some colorful stickers and box tapes online last week and we were looking around for some great ways to use them, especially these box tapes with fun geometric and nature-inspired designs.

Here’s what we found:

Illustrator and crafter Merrillee used these decorative tapes as cute striped details for her tea party invitations.

Camille used her tape as a great lacy touch for her vases.

Designer Susanna Vento simply uses her tape to create a super colorful and always changeable inspiration board (over at Dwell) instead of spending for expensive frames.

We tried these box tapes on the wall and they look great, especially when the green was picked up by the house plants.

Of course, we could always make that package extra-special by sealing it with this designed tapes.

As you can see, they can brighten up a plain background and give it that touch of playfulness. Where do you think you need a bit of something sticky?

Get Noted!

Despite iPads and eReaders galore in the stores, there is nothing like the feel of paper underneath your fingertips. We totally lose track of time inside stationery shops when we go shopping–which is probably why we have this great new collection up online.

We have fun printed packaging tapes, sleek manual shredders and, of course, great blank notebooks perfect for dreaming, journaling or notetaking.

Perhaps one of the most ingenius finds we have are the Notefolios. Sure, they may be just regular natural-colored folders on the outside (although the heavy chipboard does help protect your notebooks from scuffing)…

…but the envelope on the inside is the perfect place to stash your wayward pieces of paper, receipts or post-its.

Best of all, it’s the perfect size for our many Classmate Notebooks (which come in natural, pink, retro wave and, of course, the blank sketch note for drawing). I love that.

Not only can you get great protection for your notebook, you can also find great refills whenever you finish all your notes.

How many times have you gone back to the store and found that the refill isn’t available, right? This way, you’ll always know that you can find some.

Life’s little pleasures

There is nothing to pick up the mood like a quick trip to a stationery shop. Since one isn’t always readily available, we thought to stock up on a few choice items at the Poketo stationery section.

We got some positively upbeat new additions in and we can’t wait to show you. (In fact, if you’ve been looking, we actually snuck a few up online last week) Take a few minutes and imagine these on your desktop or backpack.

Is that sigh of contentment I hear? Yep, me too.

Gear up for the new school season, or stock up on some cool office supplies on poketo.com.
