It WAS a rhetorical comment with a lot of hyperbole. However, the fact that one's art can gross $400,000 in less than 4 minutes is respectable and amazing! The there is production / manufacturing cost's etc.. not to mention the freight charges to mail each individual piece out to those who made a purchase in addition to the fact that kaws did not produce these by hand in his studio but through Medicom who also gets a piece of the pie. So to constantly see such statements is just foolish. I get it though - its rhetorical and not is meant to give you an idea but I would be very surprised if kaw's see's even a third of the overall sale's figure;s after deducting all of the aforementioned.
