The Ace rules!
People behind The Ace in Palm Springs were really thoughtful about their new resort down to the tiniest of details…. dimming mood lights, modern bath fixtures, concrete floors, vintage furniture, glossy red record player, big and cushy towels, saline pools, and case study sun shades while lounging at the Swim Club made the experience a perfect birthday vacation. Plus, they are dog friendly so we were able to bring little Nori and take him for his first swim!
The Ace is a former Howard Johnson. I wish they had photos of it’s previous life, I would love to see the steps they took in renovating this hotel. There used to be a Denny’s attached to The Ace, which is now “King’s Highway” diner. One of the waiters clued us in on the renovation of the diner, saying that everything we see has been redone, except the floor and ceiling. A really great, modern look and the food was really, really delicious. They don’t skimp on the food, all organic when possible, and delicious. I was doubtful at first before arriving at The Ace, considering most hotel food is mediocre… This was not that at all.
As I’m writing this post, I’m realizing that this sounds like a hotels.com review… Oh well, The Ace rules!
